Nut Free Bliss Balls

I love getting in the kitchen with my 3-year-old. One of her favourite snacks is ‘chocolate balls’. She has relatively severe nut allergies and I find when asking about the ‘nut free’ options when we are out they’re still incorporate seeds. Unfortunately, nut allergies can include seeds as well so, we steer clear of treats when were out at cafes. That’s why I’ve come up with this alternative, so she doesn’t miss out.

You will need:

  • 1 ½ cups oats
  • 6 medjool dates
  • 3 tablespoons melted coconut oil
  • ¼ cup cacao powder
  • ¼ cup acai berry powder
  • ½ cup coconut chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 2 – 3 tablespoons of water

Method:

  • Weigh and measure all ingredients and place in a food processor
  • Process until ingredients form a large ball
  • Roll into small balls and coat with cacao powder or acai berry powder
  • Place onto baking tray then transfer into the fridge to firm up

Makes approx. 16 bliss balls
