Chocolate Chia Pudding

Chocolate can stimulate production of endorphins, chemicals in the brain that bring on feelings of pleasure. Cacao has a higher concentration of antioxidants than cocoa powder. Cacao is the raw form of cocoa and has gone through less processing, hence much of the nutrients has been upheld.

This is a great treat when you’re craving chocolate, but without any of the guilt attached to it. This is high in protein, good fats and refine sugar free.

 You will need:

  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons cacao powder
  • 2 teaspoons hot water
  • Pinch of salt
  • ½ cup almond milk
  • 2 tablespoons coconut flakes
  1. Place cacao, honey, vanilla and slat in mixing bowl, add hot water and stir until combined
  2. Add chia seeds and mix
  3. Add almond milk and continue to stir until chia seeds are evenly distributed through milk
  4. Stir through coconut flakes
  5. Cover and place in the fridge for at least 2 hours, overnight if possible
  6. Top with nuts and seasonal fruit to serve
